How pickup works
When you donate an RV or motorhome to Maine Motors Giveback, our team ensures a smooth pickup process tailored to your vehicle type and location. Due to the specialized nature of RVs, we utilize specialized RV-transport flatbeds or coordinated drive-away services. If your RV is at a storage lot, we work closely with facility staff to schedule a pickup that fits your needs. Please note that vehicle length and height are critical, and most states require routing for a maximum clearance of 13'6”. Our team will handle all logistical coordination, making it hassle-free for you.
What drives donation value
The value of your RV or motorhome donation is determined by several factors, with the condition of house systems like the roof, slides, plumbing, and air conditioning being most significant. If the vehicle has suffered any water damage, it can greatly affect its market value. Additionally, providing recent maintenance records can help substantiate your vehicle's worth. The time of year also plays a role, with spring auctions typically yielding the highest valuations. For those with classic RVs, an appraisal may be required to ensure you're meeting IRS guidelines under Form 8283, Section B.
